The Giants House at Akaroa
A South Island garden full of mosaic figures and sculptures. I stayed
at Josie's B&B and had a great time sighteeing around picturesque Akaroa.
Nice chocolates and artwork as well with lots of art books to read in the
lounge.

Great Hundertwasser site in Northland New Zealand selling Hundertwasser art. The
shop is located directly opposite the rightly famous Hundertwasser mosaic
toilet. I first became interested in creating mosaics seven tears ago when I
visited Kawakawa.

One of USA's most high profile Mosaic artists. Her book 'Mosaic Techniques
and Traditions' contains world wide mosaic examples and
a comprehensive technical section. I attended an Advanced Mosaic Workshop with
Sonia in Auckland in October 2004 , along with 20 other students from NZ
and Australia. Her Father lives in Auckland so she vists New Zealand and runs
workshops frequently

Waimangu Volcanic Valley
Thermal valley south of Rotorua, New Zealand featuring views across Lake
Rotomahana to Mount Tarawera which erupted in 1886 destroying the pink and white
terraces that had earned the reputation of the 7th wonder of the world. I
exhibit my mosaics and paintings there regularly.
